Even more rapidly approaching than the events themselves, is the sign-up closing date – this Sunday Sept.10 at midnight. It’s been asked, why so soon? While a week of early close can provide time for the TD to properly run a budget and organize _before_ the event so all runs smooth for the players during the event, in this case, there is a new course at Tamara Ranch near Red Deer being added, play-tested and tweaked leading up to the event. Robin and the Red Deer crew have undertaken a lot to make this event unique and quality takes time. So get signed up, get behind good golf in Alberta and enjoy this one-time opportunity!
Weather looks great as does the course, come out to Aspen Meadows for some great golf.
Small Bear will give AM divisions experiencing some new tee placements at Big Bear an opportunity to compete on the new layout pre Big Bear. Come on out and check the track and visit us for dibs on lots of new stock!
Two one-day events back to back (but we’re sure most of you are up for both) the 2017 edition of the Alberta tour finals (Sunday Oct.1) and provincial doubles (Saturday Sept. 30) are rapidly approaching and bringing with them a close to the 2017 Alberta Tour schedule. Already! This is it, one last crack at the Alberta tour for another year.
Thanks for coming to the Spring Runoff this past weekend. Having you set up with the large variety of discs and accessories was paramount to our success with payouts in the amateur divisions. It allows us to simply pay you out at the end of the day which takes the burden from us by having to purchase prizes. The time and effort we save is well worth it. I also believe that the competitors prefer this way of payout as they get to choose what they would actually want instead of random prizes. I hope to continue to have you at all our events and hope that you are set up at the other tournaments coming this year. Great selection, great service and super convenient! Keep up the good work.
Kelly was a big help for me at my tournament. It saved me some time and players were able to pick their own prizes. That’s a plus for everyone.
The Calgary Disc Golf Club (CDGC) has worked with True North Disc Golf on a couple of occasions. Kelly’s selection of discs and accessories cannot be rivaled in Calgary. We have made True North’s inventory available as a Prize source for last year’s Alberta Tour Championship and for the 2017 CDGC membership drive. Kelly’s knowledge of discs is also an invaluable resource.
Hi James, Kelly and Rob,
Just want to send a huge thank you for teaching us about Disc Golf for our Bus Tour last night. It was such a cold night, but it was amazing to see residents out enthusiastically trying disc golf!
We had 16 adults, 17 children and 4 students from Scotland participate last night. Most of them were not even aware the disc golf course existed, so thank you for helping us to raise awareness of this great resource.
