The 7th annual edition of the Isle of Mull is right around the corner, set for June 16-17 and will bring a few changes and improvements. 20 holes extending Calgary’s ubiquitous Baker Park DGC with 2 new, temporary holes including the reprise of the well received ‘little island’ hole between 16 and 17 and a new tunnel line with a raised basket on a slope – not a long shot, but a challenging finish.
True North is extremely proud to share title sponsorship with RPM discs out of New Zealand who will be providing a fun, unique and ultimately high quality disc option for the players packs this year showcasing some of thier best molds – ‘Ruru’ putters, new ‘Kea’ overstable mids, ‘Piwakawaka’ neutral mid-range and 3 flavours of their high speed driver ‘Kahu’ in original, extra-glide and over-stable versions.
Along with 3 rounds of golf for all PDGA divisions (including juniors), we’re bringing back an introductory junior round of 12 modified holes set for early Sunday afternoon, allowing kids new to the game or too young to complete full rounds a chance to meet and enjoy a fun atmosphere within the tournament environment. Based on attendance, kids will be divided into age protected cards with parents or guardians welcome to caddy. Cost for the kids is $20, with each entrant receiving a players pack worth more than the cost of entry including an Isle of Mull stamped disc to remember then event. Use our contact page for more information or to register your child. Max capacity is limited, so don’t wait if you’d like your child to participate.
Rude Carts is back with a generous donation of another custom model to be won in the raffle. His unique, hand-crafted designs have been striking curiosity and envy in disc golfers for years. While each pre-registered participant will get one free shot at the raffle, you’ll want to be sure to stock up on your chances to take Rudy’s newest creation home.
Food will be available both days from Freshii, be sure to select the food option when registering to ensure availability and don’t miss out on the ace pot option – the ‘little island’ was aced last year, all arms can reach it!
True North will be set-up both days in order to serve attendants and spectators alike with our on-site selection of 1000+ discs/bags and disc golf accessories. Come down and say hi – looking forward to seeing everyone there!
